The deadline to file a declaration of write-in candidacy is 5 p.m. on the 74th day before Election Day. My vision for Prosper ISD is that when people think of public education in the great state of Texas (and around the country), they think of Prosper ISD as the standard. Ive served on the board of directors for organizations like Disability Rights Texas and Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas who have similar goals and objectives. Serena Ashcroft:The role of a trustee is very important. We should utilize the Bond process and partner with home developers to provide grants to help withthe costs of building additional schools within the subdivisions. Our family moved to Prosper from Plano in 2019 to be part of the great community we enjoy here. But Prosper ISD says it didn't know about these allegations until he was arrested even as he was making key decisions investigating unrelated sex abuse claims involving Prosper ISD students. Since my time on the board, we have designed and opened eight elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, a natatorium, a football stadium and community room, plus a transportation site. The Prosper school board voted to hire an independent firm to look into the district's handling of the case involving the bus driver. This pandemic has greatly impacted our students and some of the student within our district parents may not have the support or financial resources within their families. This means we have everyone in the building looking out for each other by checking doors and following the proper procedures to keep our students and staff safe. We won't share it with anyone else. I am first generation college student and product of a single mother. Engage in conversations and be relational in an effort to avoid unnecessarily offensive confrontation. Ive always worked behind the scenes from budgets, volunteering, coordinating projects to communication; and now that my children are older, I feel that experience is vital to our district.
